Math: counting by tens from any single digit number; adding ten to a number; sums of ten; counting by 100s; subtracting two; measuring with inches and feet; drawing congruent shapes; nickels; sets; dozen/half dozen; adding 9; 1/3 and 1/6; volume
Language Arts: cause and effect; compare and contrast; new vocabulary words; prepositions; capitalization rules; poetry
Social Studies/Science: SUN, MOON, and STARS - God is Creator and Sustainer of the universe; our response is to worship Him! NATURAL RESOURCES - They belong to God. We are stewards of the land. ADVENTURERS IN THE NEW WORLD - how different religious beliefs played a part in early America - what we believe affects the way we live.

Math: doubles plus one examples, identifying how many more on a graph, congruent shapes, adding two-digit numbers with regrouping, telling time to the half hour, fourths, adding ten to a number
Language Arts: building more phonics skills; comprehension skill of prediction/justification; finding keywords in sentences as a beginning outlining skill; building sentences with better word choice using our parts of speech; reading, reading, reading!
Science: Matter and energy! Temperature and movement of air...water cycle. Ecclesiastes 1:7 - Creation runs according to God's plan. Psalm 111:2 Our Creator's works are great! Our response is praise. Psalm 33 - God is the Creator of all things.
Social Studies: Presidents
We will be enjoying an in-school field trip on Simple Machines with great instruction and lots of hands-on opportunities.
