Bible Verse: Psalms 103:15

What we're learning about:

"Spring is here!  In are, we are enjoying the spring season by painting flowers and butterflies using watercolors and acrylics.  Fifth and Sixth grades are doing a beautiful job with the one stroke technique we've been working on.  We will be moving on to Moroccan tile next.  Keep watch for the special graduation project the sixth grade will be making!"

April 2008

Currently in our Asia unit we are making Chinese dragons.  We are learning that other countries have "symbols" to represent authority, good fortune, and eternity.  We know that God is our Authority and  our Provider.

We have also made origami flowers which we put into vases forTeacher Appreciation Day.  The children are working with tangrams and will be making Rangoli from India.  We are having fun appreciating art from other cultures.  Be sure to notice the verses the children chose to print onto the Paper Cut Art they created that is decorating the walls of our school.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Stained Glass Art and Embossed Tin Ware.  What beautiful work from all your children.
