The Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is made up of the parents of all students enrolled at Spa Christian School. The PTF's primary functions are:
- Educating Parents
- Fellowship
- Publicity
- Fundraising
- School Activities
It provides a great opportunity for interaction among participants, information on the school's programs, growth in understanding of Christian education, and support of the school through activities such as fund-raising opportunities. All parents are asked to be present at the Back-to-School night in September to learn more about the school and meet the teachers.
Parents are also encouraged to be involved in various fellowship and fundraising activities. These include the major fundraisers of Christmas gift-wrapping, Read-a-Thon, and the spring banquet. There are also many other opportunities for involvement including some smaller fundraisers as well as opportunities within the classrooms and in other weekly or annual school activities. We encourage each family to volunteer at least two hours per month.
Some of the topics covered by speakers at previous PTF meetings include:
- Financial Peace University
- 6+1 Traits of Writing
- RAD KIDS – Awareness and prevention of childhood sexual abuse
- DBQs – Document-Based Questions
- Shepherding a Child’s Heart
- F&F – Reading Program
- Saxon Phonics
- Local Middle School Options
- Saxon Math
- Christians and Finance
